L- & S-Band Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA): NuPower 12B01A-10

The L- & S-Band Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA): NuPower 12B01A-10 module accepts a nominal 0 dBm input drive level from the transmitter/transceiver and provides 40 dB of gain to generate at least 10 watts, and typically 14 watts, across the entire operating band. Designed for demanding RF communication environments, this high-performance amplifier delivers 10 watts of RF output power across a broad 2200 MHz to 2395 MHz frequency range in a compact 3.00” x 2.00” x 0.65” package. Utilizing high-efficiency GaN technology, the unit provides reliable performance with a nominal 0 dBm RF input, reverse-voltage protection, and convenient logic on/off control for seamless system integration. Ideal for applications including Group 2 and 3 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV), broadband RF telemetry, military communication systems, and software-defined radio platforms, this solution is engineered for size, weight, power, and performance optimization in mission-critical deployments.

All NuPower PAs have an optional Micro-D connector with 18″ flying leads for interfacing to the unit. Available options for the PA include a +30 dBm / 1 W input drive level version (P/N: NW-PA-12B01A-D30), a fan-cooled heat sink, and an interface cable with banana plug terminations for lab testing.
