RF Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA): NuPower 05E05A
The NuPower™ 05E05A S-Band Power Amplifier is a small, ultra-high-efficiency solid-state power amplifier module for CW operation that delivers, on average, 30 watts of RF power from 2.0 to 2.6 GHz, to boost signal power levels of data links and transmitters for communications range extension, electronic warfare (e.g. electronic attack), etc.
RF Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) : NuPower 05E05A – has 44 dB of RF gain and is configured for an input drive level of 0 dBm from the transmitter/transceiver. Based on state-of-the-art Gallium Nitride /GaN technology, the NuPower 05E05A provides a compelling option for size, weight and power (SWaP) constrained RF telemetry and military communication systems given its 9.6 cubic inch, 9 ounce enclosure and 40% DC power efficiency. Designed for demanding RF and communication applications, this high-efficiency GaN technology amplifier delivers a minimum of 20 watts of RF output power across a broad 2000 MHz to 2600 MHz frequency range. Featuring a compact small form factor measuring just 4.50” x 3.50” x 0.61”, the unit accepts a nominal 0 dBm RF input and incorporates over-voltage protection along with logic on/off control for reliable operation in mission-critical environments.
All NuPower PAs have an optional Micro-D cable assembly with 18″ flying leads for interfacing to the unit.
