ConvertaWave2™ RF Downconverter

Part Number: RF200-2500RV1

NuWaves’ ConvertaWave 2™ is a robust broadband RF downconverter / tuner with high dynamic range performance covering VHF to S-Band frequencies. Custom options available.

Description
Product Documents

ConvertaWave 2 covers 200 to 2500 MHz with unmatched precision — 1 Hz tuning resolution — and superior rejection of out-of-band interference. The output of the downconverter is a 70 MHz IF signal that has been band-limited to one of five user-selectable IF bandwidths between 500 kHz and 10 MHz. Custom IF filter bandwidths are also available.

Additionally, ConvertaWave2 provides internal or external 10 MHz frequency reference, low local oscillator (LO) phase noise and features both automatic gain control (AGC) and manual gain control (MGC) with over 100 dB of available attenuation in 1 dB increments. Configuration of the unit is performed via serial commands through a terminal program or by an optional graphical user interface (GUI). In either case, ConvertaWave2 offers extensive user control to make it the perfect complement to any high-performance receiver system.

ConvertaWave2 meets the demanding need for high-performance RF receivers for communications systems, software defined radios (SDR), electronic warfare systems inclusive of SIGINT, COMINT, ELINT, and RF downconversion for intercept receivers.

Pair ConvertaWave2 with NuWaves’ Multi-Octave RF Upconverter (MORF) for a complete transmit and receive RF front-end that covers 200 to 2500 MHz with exceptional RF performance.

Demo units are available to qualified customers.
