At its core, NuWaves has been designing, developing, manufacturing, and sustaining RF transceivers for our military and government customers since founded in 2001. Our continuum of services spans from providing traditional RF front-end design services in close collaboration with a third-party responsible for the digital signal processing (DSP)/control design, to providing a complete turn-key transceiver solution inclusive of analog and digital functions. We have experience designing Telemetry Transponder Hardware, RF Unit Daughter Cards (RFU-D), Sonobuoy Radio Boards, TSPI RF Data Transceivers for ground, airborne, and underwater communications, add-on designs to expand upon existing communication capabilities to support new frequency bands, and even micro-transmitters.

We have experience designing both frequency upconverters and downconverters, with COTS frequency converters available for purchase today. Our designs involve frequencies from 2 MHz up to 5.9 GHz and include the following building blocks: Oscillators – DRO, XTAL, CRO, SAW, & discrete, Frequency Dividers, Frequency Synthesizers, Ultra-low added noise multipliers, and comb generators with internal/external reference.

Our expertise and experience is with designing high-performance RF power amplifiers from VHF to C-Band, using primarily GaN transistors, as well as GaAs, LDMOS and more.
